The LEAD programme is a ten month leadership development programme for owner-managers of SMEs (up to 250 employees). The framework of the programme is made up of an overnight experiential event, masterclasses, action learning sets, coaching, business shadowing and exchanges and learning reflection days. The course costs £10,000 per place, however we can subsidise this by 80% thanks to funding from the NWDA thus taking the cost down to £2000. You could also use the Train2Gain funding to put towards this cost, thus taking the cost payable to £1000. We can also split the charge into interest free instalments.

Supply Chain Opportunities with EDF Energy - EDF is inviting potential suppliers to its new nuclear power programme to register with them. EDF is expected to place the first orders in autumn 2009. Companies may also want to be aware that while they will obvious face strong competition from EDF's existing suppliers in France and for its Finnish EPR programme, they may also have the opportunity to bid for work on EDF's French reactors, since they plan a parallel new build programme in the UK and France (e.g. in Normandy alongside Hinkley/Sizewell).
